Trump appointee sacks about two dozen employees who were brought in to handle Capitol riot cases and demands list from FBI of officers involved

The Trump administration has fired a group of Justice Department prosecutors involved in the 6 January criminal cases and demanded the names of FBI agents involved in those same investigations so they can possibly be ousted.

About two dozen employees at the US attorney’s office in Washington were terminated late on Friday, said a person familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss personnel issues.
