Rosario ‘Pete’ Vasquez named as new chief of U.S. Border Patrol

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced the appointment of Rosario “Pete” Vasquez as the new chief of the Border Patrol. Vasquez succeeds Michael Banks, who resigned in May.
