Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., announced Wednesday that he’s stepping down from his Democratic leadership position in the House — and a Clyburn protege, Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Colo, is planning to run to succeed him, a source familiar with the thinking told NBC News.
