Defensive tackle acts seemingly without provocation
Cowboys score on drive following Carter’s ejection
Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was ejected seconds into the first game of the NFL season after spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Carter, one of the best players on the defending Super Bowl champions, approached Prescott as the teams lined up for the first play of the game after kickoff and, seemingly without provocation, spat on his opponent. Prescott looked shocked as a gob of phlegm landed on his chest and Carter was immediately sent from the field. He shook his head and smiled as he walked to the tunnel but did not argue with the decision.
