While negotiations to reopen the Department of Homeland Security continue on Capitol Hill, President Donald Trump is deploying ICE agents at airports impacted by the partial government shutdown. The president said he doesn’t think any deal should be struck with Democrats to reopen the agency unless they agree to vote for the SAVE America Act, an unrelated Republican bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote.
