Slovakian skier Petra Vlhov\u00e1, who is Mikaela Shiffrin\u2019s main rival in slalom, crashed and was transported off the hill with an apparent knee injury on Saturday during the first run of a women\u2019s World Cup giant slalom.<\/p>\n
Vlhov\u00e1 was \u201cundergoing medical examinations\u201d at a nearby hospital, her team said in an initial statement.<\/p>\n
