Former President Trump<\/a> said he is “very honored” by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis\u2019 endorsement, telling Fox News Digital he is looking forward “to working together with him to beat Joe Biden.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

DeSantis suspended his<\/a> 2024 presidential campaign on Sunday, and endorsed Trump.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Very honored to have his endorsement,” Trump told Fox News Digital. “I look forward to working together with him to beat Joe Biden<\/a>, who is the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country.”<\/p>\n

The Florida governor announced his decision to drop out in social media video on X, formerly known as Twitter,\u00a0on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance. They watched his presidency get<\/a> stymied by relentless resistance and they see Democrats using lawfare to this day to attack him,” DeSantis said Sunday. “While I have had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden. DeSantis said Trump has his endorsement “because we can\u2019t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear \u2013 a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism \u2013 that Nikki Haley represents.”<\/p>\n

Trump won the Iowa Caucuses last Monday, solidifying his standing as the frontrunner. Trump is leading by double digits in New Hampshire ahead of Haley.<\/p>\n
