\u201cMy goodbye to Gaza was not enough,\u201d said Ali, speaking over the phone from Redding, California. An eager and organized young man \u2013 Ali was the youngest in his cohort \u2013 he was so keen to have \u201ca breather from the war zone environment in Gaza\u201d that he didn\u2019t say goodbye to the beach or his friends before coming to the US.<\/p>\n
