The extreme winds behind the disastrous fires<\/a> in Los Angeles are forecasted to calm the rest of the week into the weekend, making it easier for firefighters to further efforts to put out the massive Palisades and Eaton fires that have been ablaze for over a week.<\/p>\n The National Weather Service said<\/a> on Thursday that the \u201cnine-day wind siege has finally ended\u201d and the weekend will bring a \u201csignificant cooling trend\u201d with higher humidity in the region.
