A former member of Village People<\/a> has distanced himself from the band that performed at Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s inauguration events, stating that the current group has \u201cnothing to do with the group that I was a part of\u201d.<\/p>\n Village People, whose song YMCA is widely considered a gay anthem and a favorite of the returning US president\u2019s, performed at several of Trump\u2019s inaugural events<\/a> over the weekend and on Monday.
