Rachel Reeves might give the impression of being someone who\u2019s never late for social engagements, but she is increasingly late to the party. At a breakfast event on the second day of Davos, after she\u2019d spelled out her faith in artificial intelligence and a high-skilled workforce, someone asked Britain\u2019s chancellor how she felt about \u201cwealth creation\u201d \u2013 was she relaxed, in a Blairite sense<\/a>? \u201cAbsolutely,\u201d Reeves replied. \u201cAbsolutely relaxed.\u201d<\/p>\n Wealth creation isn\u2019t quite the same as just wealth<\/em>, but \u201cwealth creators\u201d is famously the moniker the super-rich<\/a> use for themselves. And so Reeves\u2019s exceedingly relaxed tone here puts her in a minority \u2013 possibly a minority of one.
