Way back in 2019, Steve Bannon, then a Trump consigliere<\/em>, outlined in a TV interview<\/a> a strategy for managing information. \u201cThe opposition party is the media,\u201d he said, \u201cAnd because they\u2019re dumb and they\u2019re lazy, they can only focus on one thing at a time\u2026 All we have to do is flood the zone. Every day we hit them with three things. They\u2019ll bite on one, and we\u2019ll get all of our stuff done. Bang, bang, bang.\u201d<\/p>\n Since his re-election, Donald Trump has been following this script to the letter, and the media, not to mention the entire world, are feeling punch-drunk. Which is, as Bannon pointed out, enabling other members of the Trump crew to get their stuff done.
