When Nevada Republicans started receiving their mail-in ballots for the state\u2019s 6 February primary, Nikki Haley\u2019s name was on them, but a key person was missing: Donald Trump. It\u2019s not an accident.<\/p>\n
Instead of appearing on the primary ballot in the key swing state, Trump is participating in the separate Republican caucuses to take place two days after the primary, on 8 February. Haley isn\u2019t participating in those caucuses. The bizarre set-up means that Nevada Republicans will be asked to vote in a primary on 6 February and then in caucuses two days later to choose their party\u2019s nominee. Only the caucuses will determine how Nevada\u2019s 26 delegates are awarded at the Republican national convention.<\/p>\n
