In his speech last week at the Munich Security Conference, JD Vance pressed European leaders to stop excluding extremist parties<\/a> from government. Alluding<\/a> in particular to Germany\u2019s neo-Nazi Alternative for Germany, or AfD, he accused European leaders<\/a> of \u201crunning in fear of your own voters\u201d. The US vice-president underscored the point by then meeting with<\/a> the AfD candidate for chancellor.<\/p>\n In his view, these extremist parties should be welcomed into the mainstream because they reflect voters\u2019 concern about migration.
