The bruise seen on the back of President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/a> hand is from him shaking other people\u2019s hands, the White House said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump was photographed earlier this week with a bruise on his right hand as he met with French President Emmanuel Macron<\/a> at the White House.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital in a statement.<\/p>\n

“His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day,” she added.<\/p>\n

Around Thanksgiving last year, Trump, during an interview with TIME magazine, was asked about the bruising.<\/p>\n
