The Albuquerque Public Schools board named the district\u2019s current chief operations officer as its new superintendent Monday.<\/p>\n
UTAH SCHOOL DISTRICTS RESPOND TO ALLEGATIONS THEY CONCEAL STUDENTS’ GENDER STATUS FROM PARENTS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Gabriella Dur\u00e1n Blakey will succeed current Superintendent Scott Elder when his contract expires on June 30. Elder has led New Mexico\u2019s<\/a> largest school district for more than three years.<\/p>\n Blakey, 48, has served APS for more than 20 years as a teacher<\/a>, assistant principal, principal and associate superintendent.
