Many of the nearly 43 million Americans who have federal student loan debt<\/a> are seeing their carefully budgeted monthly payments<\/a> soar amid Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s overhaul of education in the United States.<\/p>\n In the last few weeks, the Trump administration<\/a> closed applications for all income-driven repayment plans (even ones not blocked by courts) and limited those eligible for public service loan forgiveness (PSLF).
