The Caribbean is a friend, not an enemy, leaders in the region have told Donald Trump after the US president\u2019s imposition of worldwide import tariffs.<\/p>\n
The prime minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley, invited Trump to talk with leaders in the region and \u201cwork together to keep prices down for all of our people\u201d, adding: \u201cI say simply to President Trump: our economies are not doing your economy any harm in any way. They are too small to have any negative or distorted impact on your country.\u201d<\/p>\n
