The twisties <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/sport\/2021\/jul\/28\/simone-biles-twisties-the-mental-block-which-puts-gymnasts-at-serious-risk\">cause gymnasts to lose their orientation while in the air<\/a>, a dangerous situation in a sport where falls can cause serious injury.
