There is truth to Donald Trump\u2019s declaration earlier this week that the UK-US relationship is \u201cnot what it was<\/a>\u201d, although there is no indication that he understands the reasons for the change.<\/p>\n The US president is \u201cvery disappointed\u201d that Sir Keir Starmer has been \u201cuncooperative\u201d in the war against Iran, offering only limited logistical support to American forces. The prime minister\u2019s concession<\/a> that RAF resources can be involved in defensive operations does not compensate for the prior refusal to put Britain\u2019s military assets at American disposal.
