Joe Biden is addressing the country today in his State of the Union address. Here\u2019s some free advice about what he should say about the economy \u2013 which is the issue most voters care most about.<\/p>\n
Instead of telling Americans the economy is great \u2013 which many will not believe \u2013 the president must tell them the truth: that most of the economic gains haven\u2019t been felt by average working people because the gains have been going to the top.<\/p>\n
We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace<\/em> \u2013 business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering.<\/em><\/p>\n They had begun to consider the <\/em>government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs.
