Andy Ogles represents more Muslims<\/a> than any other Tennessee congressman<\/a>. Yet he has no interest in representing them. He doesn\u2019t even want them in the country.<\/p>\n \u201cMuslims don\u2019t belong in American society,\u201d the third-term Republican wrote on Twitter\/X<\/a> last week. He\u2019s proudly doubled down<\/a> on his incendiary statement, which joins a long list of Islamophobic beliefs<\/a>. During last year\u2019s New York City mayoral campaign, Ogles called<\/a> Zohran Mamdani \u201ca communist who has publicly embraced a terroristic ideology\u201d. The US naturalization system, he said, required \u201cany alignments with communism or terrorist activities to be disclosed. I\u2019m doubtful he disclosed them.
