Balogun\u2019s ban for the next game against Belgium was suspended after the US Soccer Federation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/football\/2026\/jul\/05\/folarin-balogun-red-card-suspension-lifted-usmnt-belgium-world-cup\">US president Donald Trump lobbied Fifa<\/a>, with Trump saying that he personally placed a call to Fifa president Gianni Infantino to ask the ruling be reviewed.
