Federal workers\u2019 union alleges EPA illegally terminated agreement with the goal of repressing political dissent<\/p>\n
The union representing more than 8,000 workers at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) filed a lawsuit against the agency and administrator Lee Zeldin on Tuesday alleging the agency illegally terminated the union\u2019s collective bargaining agreement.<\/p>\n
The lawsuit, filed by two local unions of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), claims the agency failed to justify the contract\u2019s termination and was motivated by a desire to repress political dissent, a violation of the employees\u2019 first amendment rights.<\/p>\n
