What do you think it is about Ilhan Omar, exactly, that seems to get under Donald Trump\u2019s tangerine-tinted skin? The president has claimed<\/a> he has a problem with the progressive Democratic congresswoman because she is \u201cunpatriotic\u201d to the US and \u201cdisrespectful \u2026 to Israel\u201d. However, the extent of his animus towards Omar, the first Somali American in Congress, suggests there\u2019s more to it. Trump has insisted<\/a> he is \u201cthe least racist person there is anywhere in the world\u201d, so I\u2019m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that she\u2019s brown and Muslim. Truly, it\u2019s a mystery.<\/p>\n Whatever the reason, Trump\u2019s not a fan. The president has plenty of enemies, but few have been attacked as ferociously and consistently over the years as Omar. He\u2019s called her \u201cgarbage<\/a>\u201d, among other nasty names, suggested (without evidence) that she married her brother, and said<\/a> she \u201cshould be thrown the hell out of our country\u201d.
